Who We Are
The Rainbow Chorus of New Westminster is a welcoming, non-auditioned LGBTQIA2S+ and allies community choir of Sanctuary on 6th, which is part of the Pacific Mountain Regional Council of the United Church of Canada. This choir is a safe place for those to join voices and share the joy of singing.
Led by Artistic Director Frank Zieginson and accompanied by James Dekker, they are a group of regular people from all over Metro Vancouver who love to sing.
How We Started
Founded in March 2022 by Director Emeritus Blair Odney, the Rainbow Chorus of New Westminster was established with the aim of creating an inclusive space for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and their allies to come together through music. A place to build a supportive community for individuals who may have faced challenges or felt marginalized by traditional religious settings.
How to Join Us
We're a non-auditioned choir and new members may join twice per year, with registration opening in August and January.
